Here are some of the new and exciting things that
are happening at Sheri Griffith River Expedition

Many of you will be receiving your 2008 River
Journey catalog in the mail any day now. There are a couple new and exciting
things SGRE is doing in 2008.
-
Cataract Canyon:
Now with New Rapids!
-
For the past 6 years the average flow of the Colorado River
has been below normal. This has made Lake Powell's water level become far lower
then normal. With this low water elevation Cataract Canyon, which had 20+
rapids drowned out by the Lake, has uncovered five "new" rapids. These are of
course not new rapids but several have not been run in the past 25 years!
-
We are offering two great Multi-sport packages that combine the
great variety of activities available in the Moab area.
-
All Expeditions in Luxury
Trips now include two nights at Moab's premier location, the Gonzo Inn.
- New Women-Only
river trips.
Including:
-
Writing
& Sculpting Adventure with Page Lambert on Westwater Canyon for 5 days.
This special trip will explore writing and sculpting as complementary forms of
creative expression. Whether journaling or writing professionally, an
established artist or just beginning, the natural world unleashes powerful
creative energy. Personal writing and sculpting time is woven into the moments
between floating down the Colorado River, hiking at your leisure, or relaxing
on shore.
- Sheri
Griffith's Story of New Orleans.
- Read about Sheri Griffith's rescue trip to New Orleans.
- International River Rafting Trips
-
The
Futaleufú River in Chile: Some of the best whitewater in the world.
We are proud to offer an adventure of a lifetime on the Futaleufú River
in Patagonia, Chile. The Futaleufú is one of earth's foremost whitewater
runs. Starting in Chilean Patagonia, far beneath the spires and snow-capped
crowns of the Andes, the Fu's turquoise waters pass through granite gorges,
lush vistas and legendary whitewater.
