Family Trips

The
Family-Only Desolation Canyon trip has something for everyone in your
family. The canyon offers excellent inflatable kayaking for adventurous teens
and adults. For the younger ones, the gigantic sandy beaches are enormous
playgrounds complete with a personal sandbox and don't forget the water games.
Parents and grandparents will enjoy both of the above as well as some private
time while the guides entertain the kids with a variety of fun games.
Desolation Canyon also offers unique
hikes and opportunities to learn about natural and human history. The entire
family will be awed by the 5,000 foot cliffs and spectacular canyon walls. You
will get a chance to learn about some of the famous past residents of the
canyon including Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Desolation Canyon offers
the perfect blend of savoring laughs with good friends & family and sharing
quiet moments.

Quotes
"Neil and Crescent were excellent guides. They
continued to impress us with their culinary skills as the week went on. The
scenery was breathtaking for us. After a day of sun and rowing they cheerfully
set up camp each day. It was impressive their positive attitude. The hikes were
truly memorable with history, geology, and biology items thrown in
appropriately by both Neil and Crescent depending on their expertise. Neil was
great teaching the children to sing and Crescent playing Twister with the
children. They are great guides who also respect the
river/canyons/environment/etc. Thanks for a great time!" Bruce Rueppell
Family-Only Desolation Canyon, June 24, 2005
"Everything about the trip was great and
memorable
the flight to the put-in, the Green River during a nice high
flow period, the scenery, the inflatable kayak "duckies", the food, and most of
all our guides from your staff." Zeb Norris, Desolation Canyon, June
2005
"I knew even before we put in that it was going to
be a remarkable experience having been impressed by your staff and then the
orientation that you lead the evening before we left. I can't imagine what
could have made the trip better. The scenery, security, personalities, food and
fun topped all expectations." ~ Margot Levatino, Desolation Canyon
Most of all I want to compliment and praise Arianna
and John, our River Guides. Skilled, good-humored, bright, thoughtful,
articulate
I could go on and on
but they made the trip. It speaks
extremely well of your entire organization that youre able to attract and
retain such top-quality people." ~ Donald L. Linn, ST. Paul,
