Trip Description:

The Cataract Canyon Rafting Experience:

Traveling on a motorized “J-rig” through Cataract Canyon on the Colorado River provides a stable and comfortable rafting experience. The Colorado River flows purposefully toward its confluence with the Green River, where it doubles in force and becomes “Cataract Canyon,” home of the world-famous “Big Drops” rapids. There is time to hike, explore, and enjoying the grandeur of the National Park (without the crowds).

Book a River Rafting Vacation!

Our professional guides lead you through outstanding rapids with precision and ease. The larger J-rig, which is maneuvered by an outboard motor, allows us to get through the 96 miles of Cataract Canyon in less time. The exclusive design keeps passengers high and dry in the rapids. It is the best balance for time sensitive people who want to enjoy the remote canyon wilderness.

In the heart of Canyonlands National Park you will see spectacular rock formations that have formed over millions of years. Juxtaposed with the excitement of the rapids are stops at beautiful canyons, and camping in the breathtaking scenery of the Colorado River.

There is time for hiking under sculpted sandstone spires as well as visiting ancient Anasazi petroglyphs and granaries. Click to learn more about the history of Cataract Canyon.

NEW: View a video itinerary of Cataract Canyon! This may take several minutes to download, please be patient.
