The Cataract Canyon Rafting Experience:
Traveling on a
motorized J-rig through Cataract Canyon on
the Colorado River provides a stable and comfortable rafting
experience. The Colorado River flows purposefully toward its confluence with
the Green River, where it doubles in force and becomes Cataract
Canyon, home of the world-famous Big Drops rapids.
There is time to hike, explore, and enjoying the grandeur of the National Park
(without the crowds).
Our professional
guides lead you through outstanding rapids with precision and ease. The larger
J-rig, which is maneuvered by an outboard motor, allows us to get through the
96 miles of Cataract Canyon in less time. The exclusive design keeps passengers
high and dry in the rapids. It is the best balance for time sensitive people
who want to enjoy the remote canyon wilderness.
In the heart of
Canyonlands National Park you will see spectacular rock formations that
have formed over millions of years. Juxtaposed with the excitement of the
rapids are stops at beautiful canyons, and camping in the breathtaking scenery
of the Colorado River.
There is time for hiking under
sculpted sandstone spires as well as visiting ancient Anasazi
petroglyphs and granaries.

The Sheri Griffith Difference:
Sheri Griffith Expeditions
brings the experience of 37 years in the outdoor recreation industry to the
"Highlights of Cataract
Canyon" river trip. Through out this time we've learned how to make you
feel comfortable and safe on the river. This knowledge has helped us create
comforts that many other outfitters can't provide. Through extensive training
and workshops, our company's experience has been built upon and passed down
throughout all of our 37 years in business. You will see our experience in the
quality of equipment, food, and staff on each trip.
Our guides are
professional, exceptional people with outstanding talents, who are eager to
share their knowledge, experience, and enjoyment of life in the outdoors. This
group of guides is by far the best on the river. They continually strive to
perfect their understanding of our wilderness and its secrets. This is their
way of life, and their passion is to share this adventurous way of life with
you.
"There is
one aspect of Sheri Griffith Expeditions that is constantly amazing. The
