The Green River Rafting Experience:
Desolation and
Gray Canyons are registered and historical landmarks and truly a hidden jewel
of the American West. Experience outlaw hideouts, homesteads, Pueblo Ruins, and
sandy beaches shaded by ancient cottonwood trees. There's over 50 exciting
rapids, incredible scenery, camping, hiking, swimming, relaxing, and the
fun of whitewater rafting creating the ultimate vacation.
This part of
the Green River is 84 miles of 50 class I-III rapids that start the second day
of the trip and build each day until the largest and best rapids the last day.
These rapids are full of big rolling waves, not technically difficult
but exciting and great fun perfect for learning to maneuver a paddleboat or
kayak. You can choice between having your own inflatable kayak, or relaxing
with the guides on one of the oarboats. No experience necessary, just a desire
for some healthy exercise in the great outdoors.
Gear rafts carry
all the comforts of a full-scale camp. Staff prepares healthy meals and snacks
are available all the time. Each day includes paddling interspersed with hiking
to cowboy legends such as the homestead where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance
Kid hid out. Click

The canyon is tremendously scenic, and highly secluded from civilization
with fun and playful rapids.
The Sheri Griffith Difference:
Sheri Griffith Expeditions
brings the experience of 37 years in the outdoor recreation industry to the
"Majestic Canyons "
river trip. Through out this time we've learned how to make you feel
comfortable and safe on the river. This knowledge has helped us create comforts
that many other outfitters can't provide. We
provide "A Touch Of Class" to every trip. What does this mean? It's our
mission to make you comfortable in the outdoors. We provide enough civilization
for almost anyone to be comfortable on our river rafting trips. Great meals,
cozy sleeping bags, comfortable chairs and professional service-oriented guides
create a relaxing and comfortable camp setting, complimenting the relaxed pace
of the day's river rafting activities.
Our guides are truly what
make SGRE great. They are professional, exceptional people with outstanding
talents, who are eager to share their knowledge, experience, and enjoyment of
life in the outdoors. This group of guides is by far the best on the river.
They continually strive to perfect their understanding of our wilderness and
its secrets. This is their way of life, and their passion is to share this
adventurous way of life with you.
"There is
one aspect of Sheri Griffith Expeditions that is constantly amazing. The
quality of the river guides is ALWAYS extraordinaire." Scott Harvey,
