Green River Rafting at it's Best!

Trip Description:

The Green River Rafting Experience:

The Gates of Lodore on the Green River has all the elements of a classic river trip: great hikes, exciting whitewater, beautiful beaches and colorful history. The Green River is narrow and fast paced, making exciting rapids throughout every day.

The scenery is a combination of Rocky Mountain trees and plants, then drifting down into the desert canyon country. Abundant wildlife includes deer, bighorn sheep, eagles, trout, and hawks around almost every bend. We purposely travel slowly, about 10-15 miles per day, giving us ample time to explore the canyons and take in the Green River and its surrounding wildlife.

Book a River Rafting Vacation

This trip starts in a flat, open valley, and flows towards huge stone gates, 1000 feet high, that appear to have split the mountains in two: The Gates of Lodore. Raft next to sheer canyon walls and challenge rapids with names like "Hell's Half Mile" and "Disaster Falls". Click to learn more about the history of Gates of Lodore Canyon.

Camps are along the riverbank. All meals are prepared by the staff giving you time to explore the side-canyons, play horseshoes or just relax.

The rafts choices are diverse to give a variety of experiences. Relax in the oarboat, team paddle in the paddleboats or enjoy the solitude of paddling your own inflatable kayak. The Green and Yampa Rivers are sisters. The last two days of both journeys are the same as the rivers merge at Echo Park, deep within the Monument.

*There is limited access to the Gates of Lodore; so few people have the opportunity to explore these areas. This trip books quickly.

Besides being a breathtakingly beautiful area…your guides made the trip especially wonderful. You definitely had three first class people running our trip, and we truly enjoyed the opportunity to float the river in their care. Thanks for a special time. We would go again with your company in a heartbeat.
