Griffith’s Extreme Adventure Experience:

The 6 day/ 5 night Griffith Extreme Adventure is an active vacation with a combination of thrills and chills! From biking through the legendary slickrock terrain to jaw-dropping rappelling to roaring whitewater rapids, this trip is not for the faint of heart. Activities include: canyoneering from arches, mountain biking famous trails, a jet boat ride down the Colorado River, class V whitewater of Cataract Canyon, and ends with a scenic flight over Canyonlands National Park!

What's Included:

Book a River Rafting Vacation

  • Highlights of Cataract Canyon: 3 days/ 2 nights on the Colorado River.
    • WHITEWATER! That is what the 3 day Highlights of Cataract Canyon is about. You will encounter rapids with names like Capsize, North Sea's, Little Niagara, Satan's Gut and Ben Hurt. As you continue downstream the rapids become more intense until you enter the Big Drops the steepest descent on the entire Colorado River.
  • Mountain Biking on one of Moab's famous slickrock trails.
    • Klondike Bluffs is a 10-15 mile half day ride with moderate climbs and varied terrain. This ride offers bikers a good introduction to Moab's famous slickrock terrain. We'll also view dinosaur tracks along our route. At the half way point a short walk will take us into Arches National Park and to breathtaking views of the red bluffs and arches below. The ride back is mostly down hill with lots of dips and rolls. Lots of fun!
  • Canyoneering (rappelling) in Ephedra's Grotto
    • Hike across ancient petrified sand dunes which lead into a dry rock wash. Quickly the wash turns into a dry waterfall that seems to almost disappear into the tightest, deepest rain gutter imaginable. This exquisite rappel is the first obstacle in reaching the entrance to the amazing and not-at-all-famous Grotto. Now, totally enveloped in a small stone room, whose floor rarely sees the light of day, we exit to find our next challenge… a jaw-dropping rappel into the alluring green canyon below via an enormous natural stone bridge!
  • Jet Boat Ride to the Confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers at the heart of Canyonlands National Park.
  • Scenic air flight back from Cataract Canyon. (suggested transportation option)
  • 2 nights at Moab's premier Gonzo Inn.
  • All meals (except 1 dinner) from dinner the first night to lunch the last day.
  • Transportation to and from all activities and the Lodge.

Extend your vacation with any of these activities:
