The Green River Rafting Experience:

The 5 day/ 4 night Whitewater Rafting School trip is an incredible opportunity for first-time boaters, private river runners and anyone who wants to learn the ways of the river guiding profession. Training includes rigging boats, safety techniques and river rescue, equipment maintenance and most important of all, rowing and paddling a raft downriver. The river is the classroom with world-class guides sharing professional skills, talents and wonderful stories.

The Classroom

We start with two days of classroom, warehouse and commissary instruction. This will include rigging a boat, basic knot tying, cooler packing, safety procedures, equipment maintenance, river rescue techniques and many other river guiding facets. In the afternoon of day two, we will drive from our Moab office to the launch site at the Sandwash Boat. There you will assist in unloading gear and rigging the boats prior to a riverside dinner.
