the surreal black granite and impressive rapids of the lower canyon. The
awesome landscape and exhilarating rapids motivate you to release your busy

Westwater Canyon is famous for it's exciting rapids. The Colorado River
forces its way into the narrow Black Granite Gorge forming renowned rapids like
Sock-it-to-me, Funnel Falls, Last Chance and the infamous Skull Rapid.
Depending on snow pack and time of year, the Colorado River water levels will
vary dramatically creating diverse rafting conditions. Some rapids are more
challenging at high water, while others require greater skill at low water.

There are two different oarboat trips to choose from.
- The
3 day Westwater Canyon tripstarts higher up
the Colorado River than the 2 day so you get to see more of the beautiful
canyons. the extra day also allows for more time to explore the hidden wonders
of this popular area.
- The
2 day Westwater Canyon trip is the best short
whitewater trip in the West; a legendary remote canyon of powerful rapids and
outstanding canyon scenery. You dont have to be experienced, just be
looking for some adventure and a lot of fun.
