Cataract Canyon Rafting by Motorized Jrig
Traveling by motorized J-Rig provides a stable and comfortable rafting experience. It is a larger raft, has the ability to carry more items and is maneuvered by a quiet outboard motor. The exclusive design keeps passengers higher and drier in the rapids. There is room for up to eight people per boat. More room, more comfort, more fun. It is the best balance for time sensitive people who want to enjoy the remote Cataract Canyon.
The Colorado River flows purposefully toward its confluence with the Green River, where it doubles in force and becomes the "Cataract," home of the world-famous "Big Drops" rapids. J-rigs are larger, more stable and comfortable than oarboats. There is seating up front for the more adventurous and places in the middle for less adventurous.
The two, three and four day trips are a "Highlight of Cataract Canyon." The motorized 'J-rig' allows us to get through the canyon in less time. While there is still some opportunity to hike, there may be less time for just floating or some camp activities than on the longer trips. J-rigs are larger than oarboats and can carry more amenities.
